Atticus Circle and Soulforce would like to thank the Arcus and Hollyfield foundations for their generous donations. Without their support, the Action Leader Training Workshop would not have been possible. Their continual dedication for the advancement of the LGBT community has tremendously touched and inspired us.
Created in 2000 as a family foundation, the Arcus Foundation seeks to contribute to a pluralistic society that celebrates diversity and dignity, invests in youth and justice, and promotes tolerance and compassion. The foundation was formed in the belief that all individuals have a right and responsibility to full participation in our society and with the conviction that education and knowledge can be an antidote to intolerance and bigotry.
The Hollyfield Foundation was founded at the request of Jay Hollyfield, a passionate champion of gay and lesbian causes. Its purpose is to help secure equal rights and treatment for sexual minorities and to be an advocate in the fight against AIDS. Today the board is comprised of friends and community leaders that share these philosophies. The Hollyfield Foundation continues to reach out to the GLBT community through its grants process by funding organizations on the front lines.
