Honolulu, Hawai'i

Action Location: Honolulu, Hawai'i
Action Leader: Dorothy Cornell
Action Date: Wednesday, September 17th
Statement: Eleven years ago, on July 8th, 1997, Hawai’i became the first state to offer same-sex couples some of the benefits associated with marriage. At the time, it felt like a win for love and equality; but since then, we have seen little progress.
This is why I am involved in Seven Straight Nights.
Now is the right time to continue the progress which began more than a decade ago. We have been silent for too long. We, as Americans and as firm believers of justice and equality, must come together and speak out and speak up with our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender friends and neighbors.
Please join Seven Straight Nights Hawai’i to help implement the changes which are so needed in our schools, in our work place, in our communities, and for our future. Join me this September for Seven Straight Nights: Hawai’i.
